My husband and I spontaneously decided to take book a weekend away during our time in Belgrade. We wanted a weekend to unplug, rest and reset. So we decided a nice cabin in the woods would be a great idea.
However, we (read: I) are more into “glamping” than camping so I was on the hunt for a place that would give us the best of both of worlds. I wanted to be able to have a fireplace without having to look for the wood myself. I wanted to be in a cabin in the middle of nowhere but still be able to have a hot shower every evening. The list is endless but I’m sure you understand the “camping” experience I was looking for.
Following a series of searches on AirBnb, Booking.com and Instagram, the Masarotto chalets popped up a few times. I noticed they were fully booked on their website but managed to snag the last available weekend for the following three months. As God would have it, it was the exact weekend we were planning towards. As soon as I booked through Airbnb, the team at Masarotto sent me a lovely welcome email and WhatsApp message. They informed us of all the amenities and what we could expect from them leading up to and during our stay at the chalet.
Accomodation
At their complex, you’ll find organized free parking spaces for your convenience. Additionally, during the summer season, they offer a spacious pool for all their guests to enjoy.
Each log cabin has its own hot water hydromassage pool, a fully equipped kitchen, and a well-stocked minibar. One side of the kitchen is completely free and this realisation blew my mind. It surpassed the stock of most hotels I’ve stayed at. Additionally, you’ll stay comfortable with air conditioning, high-speed wireless Internet, Smart TV. They provide you with bed linens and towels so you can travel light.
Wine & Dine
At Masarotto, they offer a mouthwatering array of gastronomic pleasures and an impressive selection of quality wines. What’s more? They offer room service from 9:30am to 7:30pm. Whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or dinner, their restaurant is available to serve you daily. You can’t go wrong with any item on the menu. From the breakfast crêpes to the pasta all’Amatriciana, it was all so delicious. The red wine we had for dinner was so rich and full-bodied. I had to get a bottle when we got back.
Whether you’re celebrating a small milestone or a grand jubilee, whether you’re young or young at heart, they’ve got you covered. My husband had them decorate with balloons and rose petals just because and they did a lovely job. Whatever the occasion, they’re at your service.
Service
The customer service is top tier. You can reach out to them at any point during your stay via WhatsApp and they’ll do all they can to meet your needs. I requested honey with my crêpes and didn’t realise they had none in stock but regardless went out of their way to get some from the grocery store! At the end of our stay, they offered to keep in touch in case we needed anything during our time in Belgrade. The genuine kindness and hospitality truly impressed me.
We absolutely adored our time at Masarotto! The food was a delight and our chalet felt like a warm, cozy haven. What really stood out was the exceptional customer service. Looking ahead, if we find ourselves back in Belgrade, there’s no doubt we’ll be making a return to Masarotto. This place has left an indelible mark on us, and we can’t wait to create more wonderful memories here on our future adventures!
