Cabra Los Angeles is the New Rooftop Restaurant You Need to Visit

Pilot’s gone (sadly) but Cabra is here and with their amazing food and service, they’re here to stay!

Have you been to the new restaurant on the rooftop of the Hoxton Downtown? You might know of Cabra Chicago but Cabra Los Angeles is the place to be this summer. It’s absolutely stunning. Not just that but the food at Cabra will knock your socks off. Skip to my recommendations!

Cabra Los Angeles

I’ve always been a huge fan of Peruvian food and Top Chef winner, Chef Stephanie Izard, doesn’t miss with her vibrant and flavorful dishes! Did I mention she’s also the head chef at Girl & The Goat? IYKYK. [another major hit if you haven’t been]. My favorite thing about the space is how airy and light it is. The intentional placement of lots of greenery and the marble-top tables all add to the wonderful experience. We can’t forget the skyline views – which by the way, you get to see from any table at the restaurant!

Okay enough talking, let’s get into why you’re really here. Can I just say that every bite of each meal made me grin like a child? I’m not exaggerating, the food was so delicious. It was also very light which I liked a lot. The avocado dip was not your regular chips and guac. I didn’t know I liked taro chips till I tried them at Cabra. My favorite item off the menu is the goat empanada. The filling, the flakiness of the dough and mayo dip were perfect. We took a risk on the chocolate dessert because we weren’t sure what to expect but it was pretty good too.

For drinks, we had the Tropical Fizz and the LA Dreamin’ which we both loved! Overall, we had an amazing time at Cabra. The food was amazing, the service was great and we got to watch the sunset which was absolutely stunning! I’m a sucker for a rooftop restaurant and this one was worth every penny!

What Mo Recommends: Avocado dip, chicken and goat empanadas, chicken thigh skewers, salmon skewers and wood-fired skirt steak. For dessert, the chocolate on chocolate with crunchy chocolate.

Mo’s Tip: I highly recommend making reservations via OpenTable. Also, check out my Instagram or TikTok for the videos of my time at Cabra!
